Jacquie Gauthier is the author of ten novels, three nonfiction books, and a children's book. Best known for her "Calgary Connection" series, she has also written numerous other novels. The first of her novels to receive wide acclaim was "A Slice of Heaven" (1986), which won the Contemporary Quill Award for Best Novel. Her first book to make the national best-seller list was "Harlequin Baby" (1987)
Since then, time after time Jacquie has been selected as one of the year's top writers by the Canadian publisher McClelland & Stewart. She has also received numerous other accolades including being inducted into the Canadian Library Association Hall of Fame and being named one of Canada's Top Ten Bestselling Authors by Book Sense Canada.
